“The Branding.”


The Story:  As the names implies, a guy gets branded with a hot poker in this video clip.  He lost a huge bet when his Kings were cracked by Jacks in a No-Limit Hold’em cash game.  The video picks up shortly afterwards.  (The owners of this website are not depicted in the video - but we did find it pretty damn funny.)

The Legend:  The guy on the receiving end is known as The Legend.  He earned his nickname up in Oregon from both his ability to kill high-stakes cash games and his propensity to make wild wagers on anything from dominos to cat fights. 

The Aftermath:  The intended “X” turned out a bit more like a sideways “W,” and it will probably be there for the rest of his life. 

The Veracity:  This video is 100% real.  Nothing was faked in any way, shape, or form.  If you still have doubts, freeze the video just before attempt #2, when the camera zooms in on Legend’s foot.  You can clearly see the burn mark from attempt #1.   However, if you still have doubts, drop us an email, we’ll be happy to pass on any questions you have to the responsible parties.
